Just finished watching Amores Perros for the first time with the downstairs neighbors. Wow, if you don't mind a bit of blood and a tragically heart-wrenching storyline, you'll love it. I'm a big fan of movies that sucessfully translate biblical themes, so I was enamored from the first 15 minutes, and they never failed to impress.

i'm such an animal lover that that movie was actually very upsetting to me. however, it was very good regardless. i didn't realize it at the time but 21 grams felt a lot like the same style of amores perros, which i saw the director was the same then i knew.
My friends and I are also dog lovers, so after the first fight we had to keep our eyes closed whenever they brought the dogs out.
