Ok, I'm not going to count yesterday, because all I did was move and unpack. Today however was my first real day out and about in Brooklyn. I SHOULD have spent the day studying, but after speaking with the saleswoman at the school bookstore, I found out that my homework won't be due until the SECOND day of classes, so I checked out some of the neighborhood and went food shopping. I gotta say, this is one swank-ass hood! Lots of amazing brownstones, lots of trees, lots of nice shops and some of the most amazing architecture I've seen. Oh, and of course Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Museum, the Brooklyn Library and the zoo! Anyway, I didn't go into anything because I didn't have the time, but I gave myself a walking tour to scout out locations and get a better feel for the area.
On a scary note, while on the train back home from the school bookstore this morning, the driver decided to skip three stops, leaving me smack in Bed Stuy (Lil' Kim's old stomping grounds). Basically, I played "which of these kids is doing his own thing, which of these kids is not the same" for an hour before I managed to make the correct transfers to get home.
